Our August 16 Event

45fe61231b11b00965c94a9d2b66cbbdWe are gearing up for our biggest fundraiser of the year! It is our mission to be able to help as many veterans and their families as possible and this is how we make it all happen. We are hoping for our biggest turnout yet. Many come to ride in the horse show and we make sure that the show is educational and fun. Riders do not have to have show attire. This is our way of keeping it relaxing . Our judge this year is Kelly Maloch. She is well known in WI and the midwest and she will be making this event an educational opportunity. Since there is such a wide variety of classes offered, there really is something for everyone. What a great place to show your horse! The facility is beautiful, stalls are available, large outdoor and indoor arenas plus a practice arena. This show will go on rain or shine! In addition, this year we have the ACTHA event running concurrently. This is a national trail ride competition. For this show, this event will be focusing on obstacles. Any rider can sign up on line to participate. There will be trophies and ribbons for each class up to 6th place.
Our silent auction has always been a great success. We have lots of tack items – loaded tack boxes, grooming supplies, horse blankets and products. In addition, there are household items, hand made jewlery, back to school items, gifts baskets and tons more!
We are featuring an area for kids events. Windy Lindy the Clown will be joining us again! She will have balloons and face painting for kids. Also, kids will be able to make their own stick ponies and will compete in obstacles of their own. There will be games for all ages as well.
It is a day of fun for everyone!

Every effort counts!

I guess everyone has seen this saying.  For us, it’s true.  We are just a group of everyday people reaching out to help veterans in our area. This is my first blog ever – feel free to add comments, criticism, ideas, or advice!  bcfd19c546e4555c10a96c9f8545b2f2  We understand the struggles of those struggling with PTSD and/or TBI and their families. If we can lend a helping hand to even one, we believe the ripple effect will be enormous.

Our Mission is to provide scholarships and programs to local students and veterans as we remember and honor our fallen hero, Spc. Richard Kemp
